Cathedral Green, Exeter

Client: The Dean & Chapter, Exeter Cathedral

A landscape masterplan for improving the whole of the Cathedral precincts, the Green, Cloisters and West Front.

The area is an important and well-used public space but it has suffered from heavy use and a period of neglect in recent years. Phase One of the landscape works was completed in May 2011 and includes commissioned artwork in the form of bronze roundels and poetry letter-cut into stone.

Proposals are now being developed for Phase 2 “ The West Front” including the possible excavation and display of the Roman bathhouse that is beneath the space.
