Bowes Lyon Garden, RHS Wisley

Client: The Royal Horticultural Society

RMA won a selective competition to design a new garden to replace the existing Rose Garden at RHS Wisley.
The garden is laid out as a series of gentle, convex terraces that step down from the Bowes Lyon Pavilion creating platforms for the main rose collections.

The garden explores the planting of roses in a more sustainable way using different plant associations to deter aphids and planting roses in large scale drifts to create visual impact. The timber seats were designed by Jim Partridge.
